Background and the Problem

This is a study area with a desktop computer and an iPad, also used for reading. Horizontal gaps between the slats of the light-filtering faux wood blinds let in light that was too bright during the morning sun, and it created glare on the desktop monitor.

The Solution

We replaced the light-filtering faux wood blinds with blackout cellular shades.

After the Installation

The homeowner is happy with the result — no more strong light shining into their eyes or onto the electronics, and the room has much better light control since the installation.
